There’s something so special about a quiet morning photo session in Hilo—soft light, cool air, and that peaceful energy before the day gets busy. I had the pleasure of photographing Zina and her sweet family during a short and relaxed portrait session, perfect for their little one.

With young kids, I always remind parents that if they can stay relaxed and smiling, I’ll take care of getting the attention (and smiles!) from the kiddos. Zina’s family totally rolled with that vibe, and they all did amazing!

For their first-ever family photoshoot, they brought great energy, and it truly shows in the final images. I loved capturing these moments for them, and I’m so grateful they trusted me with their memories. Sessions like these are what make being a family photographer extra special.
